The Killer Inside Me, a film adaptation of the Jim Thompson novel by the same name, is set on the state of Pre-Production on IMDB. It will be directed by Michael Winterbottom (A Mighty Heart, The Road to Guantanamo, Jude) and the cast includes Jessica Alba, Casey Affleck and rumor has it John Goodman. Kate was recently added to the cast list, along with Elias Koteas, Bill Pullman, and Ned Beatty. We'll be updating you in this exciting new project as more information comes our way!

Kate's black car has been seen entering Owen's compound on various occasions and has even reportedly taken her five-year-old son Ryder to see the 40-year-old Wedding Crashers actor. The pair first began dating after meeting on the set of You, Me and Dupree in 2006. They had a nine-month relationship and split in 2007. The pair were briefly reunited last year, but broke up again in May. The Hollywood stars were romantically linked for a third time last August.

Kate, 29 - who has also dated Dax Shepard and cyclist Lance Armstrong since divorcing Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson in 2006 - has previously spoken about her feelings for Owen. Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson shone at the New York premiere of their new film Bride Wars.

Both actresses looked resplendent as they walked down a Tiffany & Co blue carpet at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square.

While Anne played it safe with a black tuxedo jacket and black skinny trousers, teamed up with gold snakeskin Christian Louboutin heels, Kate wore a stunning black and white graphic Oscar De La Renta gown.

"I honestly wanted to make this movie because I don't really care about weddings and I thought this would be fun," said Anne.

"The character is really different to me in that she identifies herself as a bride first and a woman second, and that's just not me. So I thought it would be really fun to explore what that is like. I don't really care about weddings."

Anne, who has been single since splitting from boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, added: "What did I learn from making this movie? Marry the right guy!"

For Kate, who also acted as co-producer, the film was a learning curve.

"I learnt a lot because it was the first film I produced and that was really exciting for me, and challenging," she revealed.

"I was really excited to make a movie about friendship, about the importance of the people in our lives. I think that's what I'm most proud of in the movie - it's what comes out of it."
