Kate Hudson is still shopping for Christmas presents. But in tough economic times, the actress says she’s feeling the pressure to cut back on spending – just like everyone else.

“I think it’s a really weird time and I think that everyone is feeling it,” the Oscar nominee told reporters Friday at a Los Angeles press conference for her new film, Bride Wars.

Instead of buying expensive gifts, Hudson, 29, says her family relies on handmade presents to save money and to keep things more personal. “We’ve always been pretty crafty anyway,” she says. “We all knit. The girls knit. This year I’m doing these great big knit…well, actually I shouldn’t even talk about it because I can’t say it!”

As usual, Hudson will spend the holidays on the slopes in Colorado, with son Ryder, 4, in tow. Ryder started skiing last year, Hudson says, and quickly graduated from the bunny hill. On his first day of lessons (at the same ski school Hudson attended as a child), the actress showed up at the bunny slope to ski with Ryder and let him show her his new skills.
But Ryder was nowhere to be found.

“I started panicking a little bit because I couldn’t see him anywhere,” Hudson says. “And the [instructor] came over and said, ‘Oh, actually, he’s up on the mountain.’”

Shocked, Hudson made her way to the base of the mountain in pursuit of her son. “I’m standing there in my skis and I’m looking up and all of a sudden I see this little kid in camouflage and I’m like, ‘No!’” Hudson says. “He is just zooming down the mountain and I started to cry.”

It was just a wave of nostalgia though, she says, she wasn’t worried… yet. “I grew up skiing, and then you see your kids ski and there’s a freedom in it, a freedom in that that you recognize in them and a confidence that kids start to get when they do things like that,” she says. “It was a big little moment.”
“Now he’s going to be terror,” she says. “So the helmet is on. I’m going to put like those rubber things on the bottom of his skis so that he doesn’t go too fast.”

Kate makes the cut at number 6, thanks to her movie "My Best Friend's Girl" and her upcoming film "Bride Wars", in which she made around 7 million each.

A friend of mine sent me a scan of Kate's pinup picture, it's not just a closeup of her face : on this one you can see the whole picture. I also added the scans from "MINI" which was published earlier this year in Russia and "W" magazine. Finally, I'm trying to add as many promo pictures as possible of Kate's movies, and this week I am bringing you tons of pictures from "You, Me and Dupree". The movie wasn't fabulous but the pictures are ;-)

Here's a small update for our gallery. Most importantly, the italian edition of Cosmopolitan put Kate on its latest cover, and Cosmo Portugal used exactly the same picture for its magazine. If one of you can scan either of these magazines... you know where to find us! I also added a few pictures of Kate at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel grand opening party, and I completed the archives with scans of "Ultimate DVD" and "InStyle" both published in 2001.

Kate Hudson used to be a stalker. The 'Bride Wars' actress - who has a four-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson - admits she went through a phase of obsessively following her potential conquests.

She said: "I don't like being smothered. If a guy is calling me all the time, it just seems so desperate. Although I did turn into a stalker once. I was completely crazy about this one guy and used to drive by his house and get my friends to call me if they saw him in a restaurant so I could show up. He wasn't stupid, though - I think I made him really nervous!"

Kate - who has been romantically linked to Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson - also revealed she loved being pregnant because she could eat anything she wanted, and is looking forward to extending her brood.

She added to Look magazine: "I can't wait to have more kids. It's the best thing ever. I gained 67lbs and was proud of it. You just have to do what your body tell you, and my body told me I needed to eat a lot of ice-cream! I would eat a tub a day. But when you are pregnant and happy and jolly and fat, you don't care about the weight."

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson has revealed that she would do anything for a challenging role, even if it required stripping off on the big screen.

The 29-year-old star admits that she is comfortable with stripping as long as it works for the movie, reports the China Daily.

"It depends on the movie and depends on the circumstance, but nudity is always something that is an issue for women," she said. "I am pretty comfortable with that - but as long as it works for the movie.
"Nudity is normally the biggest issue that I think about in a movie. But if I wanted a part I would pretty much do anything I needed to in order to get that role," she added.

The 'Almost Famous' actress had earlier revealed that she loved walking around the house in the nude.
"My mother and father never made a big deal about nudity in our house. "I often walk around naked or just wearing panties. Actors are all supposed to be emotionally naked anyway," she said.
